A life change in 24 hours?
After an unexpected flood in England, I found myself heading towards a life change in Quebec, a shift I never anticipated. From temporary accommodation provided by my landlord to discovering opportunities at the heart of Quebec, come along with me on this journey of awakening and rediscovery.
When my home was affected by this disaster, the landlord had provided me shelter in his mother-in-law’s house until I left for Canada on September 20th, an event I’ve discussed in a previous article. He assured me that everything would be in order when I returned in early October. However, faced with the dilemma of paying for a semi-professional space that didn’t meet my work needs – considering both my lab and home were at the same location – I decided not to continue down that path.
Challenges and Revelations
I had planned to fully restock my elixirs. But due to unfinished work, I couldn’t reopen the shop in Glastonbury. Not wanting to settle as long as the restoration wasn’t completed, the landlord, in response, decided to halt the repairs.
On the last day of my stay in Canada, namely October 2nd, he informed me via email to find a new place to live, citing extended electrical work spanning several months. This was the end of my journey with that beautiful lodge and therefore my residence in England.
Meetings and New Opportunities
That very day, Mikael Zayat, unaware of this situation but sensing something, encouraged me to stay in Quebec to participate in the spiritual awakening of its inhabitants. He believed there was a need for more dedicated people like me. I felt he wanted to share his invaluable wisdom and invited me to stay with him for a few months. Soon after, I learned that Zayat Aroma, a company inspired by Michael’s essence philosophy, was actively recruiting. After some discussions, I found a six-month rental in Bromont, not far from Mikael and the company.
Interestingly, the day before, I felt a strong inclination to stay in Canada rather than return to England. Could it be intuition?
On that same October 2nd, before my return flight, I had the pleasure of meeting Anne again, who I met a few days earlier at the Afghan walking instructors’ day, and discovering Her Tienda in Montreal, a space dedicated to walking and the Way of St. James. This multidisciplinary place, offering hiking gear, inspiring talks, a travel agency, and a cozy cafe, deeply impressed me. Anne shared her incredible healing journey on the Way of Compostela and how it inspired her to create this unique shop. I was moved by her vision and felt instantly connected to the place and Anne herself. Plans for organizing trips that combine discovery and hiking. Following our conversation, I saw an opportunity to collaborate with her and her agency to organize trips that mix discovery and hiking to the sacred places of Glastonbury.
Reflections on the Future
During my stay, many questioned my intentions of permanently settling in Canada. Were these omens of an impending upheaval in my life? Of a potential move to Canada? The process would be significant, but if everything aligns, I’m ready. I firmly believe that it’s crucial to end one chapter to begin another. With this in mind, I returned to England to prepare for the next steps. The adventure continues…
