In this period of introspection, I find myself at a unique crossroads, exploring transcendence through walking. Questioning my own walking challenges, the journey I’ve embarked upon, not only through winding trails but also through personal paths, leads me to ask: should I continue? What resonates within me when I venture into these walks?
A Body-Soul-Spirit Awakening: A Journey of Healing and Bodily Revival
In the beginning, these daily strolls served as a healing balm, a way to awaken a body that seemed numbed by the daily grind. An opportunity not only to invigorate my physical self but also to initiate a deep process of healing and awakening of every facet of my being. This path has evolved, transforming each step into a sacred dance that cleanses, revitalizes, and aligns my soul, my mind, and of course, my body.
Challenging the Mind: The Birth of the Challenges
But why these challenges? In truth, they serve as a means to surpass my own mental barriers, to nurture that part of me craving constant motivation, affording me no choice but to walk each day. This initiative has transcended my initial nature, morphing into an inexhaustible source of motivation, a kind of beneficial addiction.
Frequently, I am asked why I don’t choose established initiatory paths like that of the Camino de Santiago. My answer is straightforward: any path can become an initiatory journey if we infuse it with meaning and ritual. My quest is to sanctify each step, each moment, and to delve into the depth of the human soul through this practice. Harmonious walking allows me to connect with the sacred temple of my body, fostering a deep and enriching dialogue with it.
Alchemizing Our Experiences
Through the practice of harmonic or Afghan walking, I’ve learned to transform and alchemize internal experiences, reaching a modified state of consciousness where renewal becomes possible. Choosing distances that seem insensate 42km, 50km, and even 100km, is an invitation to push the boundaries of the imaginable, to maintain unwavering motivation, to persevere beyond the conceivable. Of course, meticulous preparation is vital; it forms the cornerstone that differentiates success from failure.
As I train, I feel renewed vigour, a fitness level I hadn’t experienced in years. If the call to adventure seizes me again, I know I’m ready to respond, to explore the roads of the world with renewed energy and unshakeable passion.
Towards Greater Horizons
In conclusion, these walks have become a nourishment for my entire being, a vibrant engine that fuels my motivation and physical well-being. The question remains: is it necessary to continue? My answer is a resounding yes. The next chapter of this adventure involves treading even unexplored paths, conveying the knowledge and inspiration garnered over miles traveled.
